About Meredith R
Meredith R Allie took a steady route into private practice. She earned her J.D. from Widener University School of Law in 2006 and moved quickly into courtroom work and client representation. Early in her career she joined Kahn and Associates as an associate in 2006, where she worked on a range of matters that built her practical skills and familiarity with family court processes.
By 2009 her career entered a new phase. She became a partner at Allie & Donham LLC that year and also began operating under the Law Office of Meredith Allie, LLC. Those roles signaled a shift toward managing client relationships and running a small firm, responsibilities she has carried into the present. The combination of firm partnership and solo practice gave her both collaborative and independent experience.
Her work has been rooted in Pennsylvania courts. She maintains active ties to the local bar. She joined the York County Bar Association’s Family Law Section as a member in 2011 and took on the post of secretary in 2017. She continues to serve in that elected role. Outside the county bar, she has held a membership in World Wide Who’s Who since 2013.
The through-line of Allie’s practice is family law. Colleagues and clients have encountered her in custody disputes, divorce proceedings, support and property matters, and other family-related litigation and negotiation. Her time at a general practice firm early on exposed her to a range of civil issues. Over the years she narrowed her day-to-day work toward family court matters, where courtroom experience and client counseling are often required together.
Her firm responsibilities include client intake, case strategy, and courtroom advocacy. Running a practice has also required attention to case management and local procedural rules. Those administrative duties sit alongside direct client work and representation in hearings.
Outside of casework, her bar section role places her in the center of local family law conversations. Serving as secretary has involved organizing meetings and contributing to the section’s internal administration. She has remained an active presence in the section since stepping into that role.
She continues to practice through the Law Office of Meredith Allie, LLC. Her current work is concentrated on family law matters, including divorce, custody, and related proceedings.
