About Meghan L
Meghan L Howard studied political science before turning to law. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida in 2011 and continued her legal education at Suffolk University Law School, receiving her J.D. in 2014. Her academic path placed her in Boston during a period of practical training and public service that shaped her early career.
During law school Howard took on clinic and internship roles that exposed her to public defense and legal aid work. In 2013 she worked as a student lawyer and intern for the Committee for Public Counsel Services. The following year she volunteered as a pro bono lawyer with Greater Boston Legal Services, handling matters that helped low-income clients access counsel and advice. Those early roles gave her courtroom experience and client-contact time while she completed her degree.
After passing into the legal profession, Howard worked in a mix of positions that included contract and firm-based work. In 2015 she served as an associate at Stopa & Associates, LLC. The same year she also did contract work for Update Legal. That combination of associate-level responsibilities and contract assignments broadened her exposure to practice management, document drafting and case preparation.
Howard has been active in professional and referral networks alongside her legal work. She holds membership in the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers since 2015. She also belongs to several local business and referral groups, including Lead Share Network and 6 Degrees Networking, both since 2018, and Referral Source Group since 2019. She was a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association from 2014 until 2018. These memberships reflect a mix of courtroom orientation and community-based referral activity.
Her practice has remained centered in Massachusetts.
