About Meghan
Meghan Bolte built a foundation in both numbers and public affairs before she entered law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Political Science from Augustana College in 2007 and completed her J.D. at The John Marshall Law School in 2010. Those dual undergraduate majors left a lasting influence on how she approaches legal questions.
Her career began in private practice. In 2010 she worked as a lawyer at the Law Offices of Brian A. Hart, P.C. Two years later she joined Bernard J. Natale, Ltd., where she continued developing courtroom and client-facing experience. In 2016 she moved to Zimmerman & Walsh, LLP, where she remains on the firm’s roster.
Across those early years she handled a steady stream of matters typical of small and mid-size firms. She prepared pleadings, managed discovery, drafted briefs and counseled clients through pretrial stages. That practical work exposed her to both litigation mechanics and the business-side tasks that support legal strategy.
Her undergraduate training in accounting complements her legal background. It gives her a useful perspective when a matter requires attention to financial records or a careful review of economic details. She also draws on her political science studies to parse regulatory and governmental aspects of cases when they arise.
Meghan is admitted to practice in Illinois. She has spent her career operating within the state’s legal landscape and is familiar with its courts and procedural norms. Colleagues describe her as methodical in file preparation and direct in client communications.
Her path through three different firms reflects steady progression rather than a single specialty labeled on a business card. She has worked on cases that required courtroom presence and others that required detailed transactional or advisory work. That variety has helped her develop a practical sense for when to push litigation forward and when to prioritize negotiated resolution.
She currently practices at Zimmerman & Walsh, LLP, where she represents and advises clients on matters arising under Illinois law.
