About Matthew Scott
Matthew Scott Waring began his path to law after studying economics. He earned a B.A. in economics from the University of North Florida in 2010 and went on to receive his J.D. from the University of Florida in 2013. Those years shaped the practical and analytical side of his approach to litigation.
His early career started immediately after law school. In 2013 he joined Cole, Scott & Kissane, P.A. as a litigation lawyer. That role placed him in a busy practice handling client disputes and courtroom matters. In 2017 he moved to a large plaintiff’s personal injury law office, where he continued to handle litigation and developed experience representing individuals in injury cases.
In 2019 he opened his own firm, Waring Law. Running his own practice required shifting between the courtroom and the many responsibilities of running a small firm. He handled case intake, client counseling and courtroom preparation while overseeing the business side of the office.
In 2023 he took on a new title as a shareholder and managing member at Fairway Law Group. That position added leadership duties and a role in firm governance. The chronology of roles — from associate litigation attorney to founder, then to shareholder and manager — shows a steady expansion of legal and administrative responsibilities over more than a decade.
Waring’s practice history is rooted in litigation, particularly on the plaintiff side of personal injury matters. His experience includes pretrial investigation, filing and responding to motions, discovery, and trial work. He has worked on a range of civil disputes that require courtroom presence and negotiation on behalf of clients.
Outside casework, he has maintained professional membership in an association beginning in 2013 and continuing to the present. That ongoing participation has kept him connected to developments in practice and to peers in the Florida legal community.
He maintains offices under the Waring Law name and continues to serve clients in Florida. He concentrates his current practice on personal injury litigation and related civil matters.
