About Mark J
Mark J Rose built a foundation in both engineering and business before turning to law. He earned a Bachelor of Science in engineering from the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg in 2005. He then pursued graduate study at Stetson University, completing an M.S. and an M.B.A. in 2006 and finishing the Stetson University College of Law program the same year. That mix of technical and business training informs how he approaches complex disputes today.
Rose’s early legal work began in 2007, when he took on multiple law clerk roles at firms including Brasfield, Fuller & Freeman, P.A. and Prugh & Associates, P.A. He also served as a federal litigation intern in the Office of the U.S. Trustee at the Department of Justice that year. After law school he joined the Law Office of Max Rudmann as an associate in 2008. A year later he became a partner at Roig Lawyers. In 2009 he also taught as an adjunct professor of business law at Palm Beach State College, bringing practical courtroom and transactional experience into the classroom.
Rose gained admission to practice in Florida and to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. He has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2008 and holds memberships in the American Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute. Within the Florida Defense Lawyers Association he served as co-chair of the Young Lawyers Committee from 2014 to 2015, and later sat on the board of directors from 2015 to 2018. He is also certified as a county mediator by the Florida Supreme Court.
Colleagues describe Rose as methodical in preparing cases and pragmatic at the bargaining table. He combines the technical background from his undergraduate studies with business training and courtroom experience to evaluate risk and identify issues early. That combination has shaped his practice style: he tends to prioritize efficient case management, early motion practice when appropriate, and settlement negotiations that reflect realistic outcomes.
He maintains active involvement in professional organizations and has balanced private practice with occasional teaching and mediation work. He currently practices at Roig Lawyers, handling litigation matters in Florida and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
