About Matthew Lorn

Matthew Lorn Hoppock grew up in Kansas and built a legal path that stayed close to home. He earned a B.A. in philosophy from Kansas State University in 2005 and took his law degree from the University of Kansas, receiving his J.D. in 2008. The education supplied the foundation; the next years supplied the practical training.

He began his career as an associate at The McCrummen Immigration Law Group LLC in 2008. The role put him squarely in immigration practice and in federal procedure. In 2011 he moved into partnership at Dunn & Davison LLC. Those early positions exposed him to administrative filings, courtroom work, and appellate filings in multiple federal venues.

Hoppock’s admissions reflect a practice that reaches beyond a single courthouse. He is admitted to practice in Kansas and before the United States Supreme Court. He also holds admission to the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th Circuits. That range has allowed him to pursue matters on appeal in several circuits and to file petitions and briefs across jurisdictions.

Professional connections include long-standing membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association, a group he has been part of since 2008. That affiliation aligns with the trajectory of his work in immigration law, particularly in matters that cross state lines or require federal appellate practice. The associations have informed his work on cases that involve removal defense, asylum, waivers, and federal petitions.

Hoppock now heads Hoppock Law Office, LLC. The small-office setting positions him to manage cases from intake through federal filings. He continues to accept matters that require appellate attention and representation before federal tribunals. Colleagues and clients see him as someone who moves cases through detailed procedural stages and into federal court when necessary.

He publishes and speaks only occasionally; his public professional profile centers on case work rather than frequent commentary. The common thread of his legal life is immigration law handled at both the administrative and appellate levels. He currently practices immigration law at Hoppock Law Office, LLC, representing clients in administrative matters and federal filings.
