About Chase L.
Chase L. Miller moved from philosophy studies into law over a compact academic stretch. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Washburn University in 2012 and completed his J.D. at Washburn University School of Law in 2015. Those years framed his transition from abstract questions about reasoning to the everyday practice of law.
After law school, Miller established himself in Kansas. He is admitted to practice in the state and has built a local professional presence through sustained participation in bar activities. He has taken a particular interest in the network of county-level practitioners, arguing cases and advising clients in a range of local forums.
His engagement in the profession deepened when he took on a leadership post in the Lyon/Chase County Bar Association. He became president of the association in 2017 and has remained in that leadership role. In that capacity he has overseen meetings, helped organize educational programming for attorneys in the area, and worked on initiatives that affect the administration of local courts. Those responsibilities have kept him close to the contours of legal practice in rural and small-court settings.
Miller also maintains memberships in other professional groups. He participates in events and continuing education opportunities that are common among practicing attorneys in Kansas. That participation keeps him current on procedural changes and local court practices.
Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic. He approaches client matters in a direct manner. He explains options plainly and prioritizes clear communication. His training in philosophy shows through in his attention to argument structure and in his interest in the practical implications of legal rules.
Over time, Miller has balanced casework with bar service. The mix has given him a detailed grasp of courtroom procedure, evidentiary practice, and local filing systems. He has handled matters that require frequent interaction with county clerks, judges, and opposing counsel across the state.
Today he maintains an office in Kansas and continues to serve clients at the county level and beyond. His current practice focuses on serving clients in Kansas.
