About Matthew Keith
Matthew Keith Mobilia studied at Albany Law School before beginning a career that has moved between public service, the courtroom and private practice. He built his early legal grounding in New York. That education laid the groundwork for roles in prosecution and court service that followed.
In 2016 he served as an Assistant District Lawyer with the Richmond County District Lawyer. In that role he handled the day-to-day responsibilities typical of a courthouse practice and gained first-hand exposure to trial preparation and case management. The position placed him in the trenches of local criminal proceedings and offered sustained contact with judges, prosecutors and defense attorneys.
Four years later he worked as an Associate Court Lawyer to the Hon. Matthew P. Blum in 2020. That placement gave him a close view of judicial decision-making. He assisted on matters that required careful legal research and an organized approach to managing contested dockets. The experience broadened his understanding of how judges consider evidentiary questions and procedural issues.
Those public-sector positions led him to establish a private practice. He now operates The Law Office of Matthew Mobilia. In private practice he applies the procedural knowledge and courtroom experience built earlier in his career. He brings an attorney’s practical sense of how cases progress, what judges expect and how parties prepare for hearings.
Colleagues describe him as someone comfortable in court and accustomed to fast-paced casework. Former roles in the Richmond County office and on a judge’s staff give him perspective on both sides of a dispute. That background informs how he evaluates cases and advises clients about next steps.
He is licensed to practice in New York and continues to handle matters in state courts. His office accepts cases that arise within the state, and he represents clients in proceedings before New York tribunals. He maintains a full-time practice in New York, representing clients in state court matters.
