About Matthew J.

Matthew J. Robinson built a professional path that blends law and business. He earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 2006, followed by an M.B.A. from Rutgers University–Camden in 2008. His undergraduate work was at Rutgers University–New Brunswick/Piscataway, where he completed a B.A. in Political Science in 2001. Those years in New Jersey’s public university system shaped both his legal training and his interest in the practical side of client services.

After law school, Robinson went into private practice and rose to a leadership role at the firm that bears his name. He is a partner at Robinson & Robinson, LLC. He is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and he handles matters that require navigating the rules and procedures of courts in both states. His dual-state admission allows him to serve clients whose issues cross state lines.

Robinson’s business degree informs how he approaches client matters. He often frames legal problems in terms of outcomes and operational impact. That perspective can matter to small business owners, individual clients, and organizations that need clear analysis tied to real-world decisions. He also takes part in local bar activities and professional governance.

He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for the Cumberland County Bar Association, a role that places him in conversations about local court administration and bar services. His trusteeship involves regular engagement with other lawyers and court officials and contributes to the association’s oversight functions. Participation on the board keeps him connected to developments in the Cumberland County legal community and to issues affecting practitioners there.

Colleagues describe Robinson as practical and straightforward when explaining options to clients. He writes and speaks plainly about trade-offs and next steps. In the office and at hearings he balances legal analysis with attention to clients’ business realities. That approach aims to make legal choices easier to understand and to align them with clients’ goals.

He is based at Robinson & Robinson, LLC, where he continues to represent clients in matters arising in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
