About Matthew Ian
Matthew Ian Sack built a legal career that moves from classroom study to solo practice. He graduated from Gettysburg College in 2001 with a B.A. in Environmental Policy after beginning his undergraduate studies in 1997. He then attended Widener University Delaware School of Law, earning his J.D. in 2006.
Soon after law school he entered firm life. In 2006 he joined Reilly, Janiczek & McDevitt as an associate. Two years later he was at Post & Schell, P.C., again serving in an associate role. The next phase of his career included positions at Powell Trachtman and Davis Bucco & Ardizzi in 2011, both listed as associate roles. Those years offered steady firm-based practice and exposure to the routines of established law offices.
In 2015 he worked as a contractor for the March Law Office. That position bridged the move from firm employment to independent practice. In 2016 he opened Sack Law PLLC and registered the firm as a sole proprietorship, signaling a shift to running a practice and managing client matters directly.
Sack is admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions. He lists New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Montana among the jurisdictions where he is authorized to work. He holds memberships in the Pennsylvania State Bar and joined the Montana State Bar in 2016. He is also a member of the Gallatin County Bar Association, a local affiliation he joined the same year he moved into private practice in Montana.
Over the course of his career he has occupied several different roles: associate in established firms, contractor in a smaller office, and now principal of his own firm. Those transitions reflect a path from working inside larger organizations to counseling clients on a solo basis. He has experience managing the administrative responsibilities that come with running a small firm as well as the client-facing duties that attorneys carry.
Today he practices through Sack Law PLLC. He serves clients across the states where he is admitted and handles matters out of his independent office, representing individuals and businesses in the jurisdictions of New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Montana.
