About Matthew

Matthew Glassman built his career around criminal defense work in Florida courts. He is often in courtrooms and conference rooms. He represents people facing state criminal charges and manages the day-to-day demands of trial preparation.

He earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University in 1998. He later completed his law degree at St. Thomas University School of Law. Those years laid the foundation for a practice rooted in courtroom procedure and trial advocacy.

Early in his career he gravitated toward criminal law. Over time he set up a practice that carries his name. He serves clients at the Law Offices of Matthew Glassman, where he handles arraignments, plea negotiations, motions practice, and trials. Courtroom work is a frequent part of his docket, and he works on both misdemeanor and felony matters.

His standing with the profession includes board certification from The Florida Bar. That credential marks a recognized level of expertise under Florida’s certification standards. He also maintains memberships in professional associations and participates in the bar community.

Clients and judges see him as a practical advocate who prepares cases for litigation and seeks to resolve matters where appropriate. He examines evidence, consults with investigators and experts when needed, and argues issues before judges and juries. He also spends time counseling clients on collateral consequences and post-conviction options when cases conclude.

He manages a solo or small-firm practice structure that allows direct client contact. The office handles cases across Florida’s state courts, and he regularly appears for hearings and trials. He combines courtroom experience with the procedural knowledge required to move cases through the system.

Outside the courtroom he remains engaged with developments in criminal law and procedure. He follows changes in statutes and case law that affect defense strategy. He also advises clients about their legal options, including pretrial diversion and sentencing alternatives.

He currently practices criminal law at the Law Offices of Matthew Glassman, representing individuals charged with criminal offenses in Florida.
