About Matthew

Matthew Baker graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 2007 after completing a Bachelor of Arts at the same university in 2004. He moved into practice immediately following law school and has spent his legal career in Washington. His educational background ties him to the region where he now practices.

He began his legal career as an associate at Perkins Coie LLP in 2007. At Perkins Coie he worked alongside experienced litigators and transactional lawyers. That early stretch gave him exposure to a large-firm environment and to the procedural and substantive demands of practicing law in the state.

In 2010 he became a partner at Joner Lindberg Baker PLLC. The move to a smaller firm changed the pace of the work. It also gave him a chance to take on broader responsibilities, including more direct client contact and case management. As a partner he has overseen matters from intake through resolution and has taken part in the management of firm affairs.

Outside the office he is a member of the Snoqualmie Valley Chamber of Commerce. That membership links him to local business leaders and community stakeholders. He participates in chamber activities and attends events that bring together area professionals and residents.

Baker is licensed to practice in Washington. His practice reflects a continuity from his early career through his current role at Joner Lindberg Baker PLLC. He handles matters for clients in the state and draws on his experience in both large firm and small firm settings. He now practices at Joner Lindberg Baker, where he represents clients in matters arising in Washington.
