About Matt
Matt Fleischer earned a Bachelor of Science from Southern Nazarene University in 2002 and a Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University School of Law in 2005. He moved from the classroom into fields that combined legal and practical land work. Those early choices shaped the first phase of his professional life.
Soon after law school he worked in the energy industry as a senior landman for Chesapeake Energy Corporation in 2006. That role gave him direct experience with land, mineral interests and the transactional side of energy operations. It also exposed him to the kinds of title and property issues that later intersected with his legal practice.
By the mid-2010s he had shifted into private practice. He became a partner at Cowan & Fleischer, PLLC in 2014. Four years later he joined Fleischer, Fleischer, Painter & Cantrell, PLLC as a partner. In those partnership roles he handled matters for individuals and businesses, drawing on both his legal training and his land-sector background.
He holds memberships in the Texas State Bar and the Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association. He is licensed to practice in both Texas and Oklahoma. Those affiliations reflect a practice that spans state lines and primary subject areas around estate and trust law.
Today he operates under the name Fleischer Law, PLLC. He advises clients on estate planning, probate and trust administration and handles related property questions that can arise from mineral and land interests. His combination of energy-industry experience and bar association work informs how he evaluates documents and counsels clients. He currently practices at Fleischer Law, PLLC, concentrating on estate planning, probate and trust matters.
