About Elizabeth Annie Rischard
Elizabeth Annie Rischard Davis earned her B.A. in anthropology from the University of Oklahoma in 2015. She returned to the same university for law school and received her J.D. from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2021. Those years on campus shaped a practical approach to problem solving. They also grounded her work in the legal and human dimensions that elder law often presents.
After law school she entered practice in Oklahoma. She is admitted to practice in the state and has concentrated her work on legal issues that affect older adults and their families. Her caseload has included planning for incapacity, estate planning documents such as wills and trusts, guardianship matters, and matters that arise in the course of long-term care and Medicaid eligibility.
Her practice reflects the intersection of law and life. Clients often come to her facing health changes, financial uncertainty, or the need to protect a loved one’s future. She works on drafting durable powers of attorney and advance directives, preparing Medicaid applications, guiding families through probate processes, and representing individuals in guardianship proceedings. She also handles the documents and court filings that follow when a family must plan for or respond to incapacity.
At the same time, her background in anthropology informs how she approaches each case. She pays attention to family dynamics and cultural context. That perspective can matter in interviews with clients, in negotiating care plans, and in explaining legal options in plain language. It also helps in translating complex legal rules into practical steps that people can act on.
She practices at Rischard Elder Law. The firm handles matters commonly associated with elder law practice in Oklahoma. Cases range from drafting straightforward estate planning documents to pursuing the court orders needed to protect a vulnerable adult. She works mainly with older adults, their families, and caregivers, helping them understand the legal pathways available and the trade-offs each choice can involve.
She maintains her practice in Oklahoma and regularly represents clients in state courts and administrative processes. She currently practices at Rischard Elder Law, where she handles elder law matters.
