About Mary
Mary Bajo earned her law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2010 after studying political science at the University of Nevada-Reno. She moved quickly from the classroom to practical work, combining what she learned in law school with early hands-on experience in a small firm environment.
Her legal career began while she was still a student. In 2008 she served as a law clerk for Timothy M. Cary and Associates, where she assisted in case preparation and client intake. After graduating, she joined Estey & Bomberger, LLP as an attorney in 2011. Over the years she has worked out of the firm’s San Francisco office and other Estey & Bomberger locations, handling day-to-day litigation tasks and trial preparation.
Bajo’s memberships reflect the circles in which she practices. She belongs to the American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association. She is also active in regional groups for plaintiff-side lawyers, including Consumer Lawyers of California and Consumer Lawyers of San Diego, and she holds membership in the San Diego County Bar Association. Those affiliations have connected her to peers on consumer law and civil litigation issues and to continuing legal education opportunities.
Her practice centers on representing consumers in civil matters. She handles contested cases that require investigation, written discovery, motion practice and preparation for depositions or trial. In that work she draws on her litigation experience at Estey & Bomberger and on the procedural grounding she developed as a law clerk. Her courtroom work is paired with client counseling aimed at clarifying options and possible outcomes.
Colleagues describe her as steady in litigation settings and attentive to the details that shape a case. She has focused on the practical tasks that produce results: drafting pleadings, assembling evidence, coordinating expert input and preparing witnesses. Her background in political science informs a pragmatic approach to advocacy and an interest in how statutes and regulations affect everyday consumers.
Bajo is licensed to practice in California and continues to maintain professional ties through state and national bar organizations. She currently practices at Estey & Bomberger, LLP and works on civil litigation and consumer representation matters.
