About Marvin

Marvin Cable took a steady, deliberate path into the law. He read political theory and public affairs as an undergraduate. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Wittenberg University in 2005 and then turned to legal study, receiving a J.D. from Western New England University School of Law in 2010.

His early work included a role outside the courtroom. In 2007 he was an administrative assistant at Ladd Financial, a position that placed him in a business setting and offered practical exposure to client service and office operations. After finishing law school he began practicing under his own name. Since 2010 he has worked as a lawyer at the Law Offices of Marvin Cable.

Courtroom and procedural admissions shape a lawyer’s options. Cable is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and before the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts. He also holds admission in federal venues, including the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of California. His credentials extend to appellate practice through admission to the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

He maintains ties to professional groups that are local, statewide and national in scope. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Hampshire County Bar Association. He also holds membership in the American Bar Association and participates in the Volunteer Lawyers Association. Those memberships keep him connected to peers and the practical developments that affect courtroom practice and client representation.

Over the years his work has centered on representing clients in the jurisdictions where he is admitted. He handles matters that require appearances in Massachusetts courts and in federal courts within the districts to which he has access. He operates a solo or small firm practice model, managing case preparation, client intake and court filings from his office.

Colleagues and clients have relied on him for responsive handling of filings and for navigating procedural requirements in both state and federal settings. He balances casework with ongoing involvement in bar activities and volunteer legal efforts. He continues to maintain an active practice at the Law Offices of Marvin Cable and represents clients in matters in Massachusetts and in the federal courts where he is admitted.
