About Marshall

Marshall Kobrin grew up interested in both law and sport. That combination shaped his academic path and later his professional affiliations. He completed a Bachelor of Arts in political science at the University of Central Florida in 2014, adding minors in general business, sports business management and legal studies. He went on to earn a J.D. from the University of Florida in 2017, where he concentrated on intellectual property.

Kobrin’s early involvement in bar and professional organizations began while he was still in school. He joined the Federal Bar Association in 2015. In 2017 he became a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association and has maintained that affiliation since. Two years later he added memberships in the American Bar Association and the Sports Lawyers Association. Those memberships reflect the two strands that run through his training: intellectual property and the business of sports.

After law school Kobrin entered private practice in Florida. He is listed at Walk Law Office, P.A., a firm that handles a range of legal matters. His professional record includes consistent participation in local and national legal groups, which he uses to stay current on developments in IP law and sports-related legal issues.

Colleagues describe him as methodical and direct in handling client matters. He has worked on transactional matters involving trademarks and licensing as part of broader client engagements. He also advises on contractual issues common to athletes, teams and sports businesses. Kobrin’s combination of an IP concentration and a background in sports business puts him in the middle ground between two specialties that increasingly overlap.

Kobrin’s practice touches both counsel work and document drafting. He spends time negotiating agreements and reviewing intellectual property portfolios. He participates in professional continuing education and in the associations he joined earlier in his career. That involvement keeps him connected to practitioners across Florida and beyond.

He is licensed to practice in Florida and remains active in the legal community through membership in the American Bar Association, the Sports Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Association and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He maintains his office at Walk Law Office, P.A., where his work centers on intellectual property and sports-related legal matters.
