About Marlet
Marlet Edwards studied at North Carolina State University from 1994 to 1998 and earned a Bachelor of Arts before enrolling at Campbell Law School in 1999. She completed her juris doctor in 2002. Those years set the foundation for a career centered on issues that often touch families and older adults.
After law school Edwards entered private practice. By 2008 she was working at The Edwards Law Office, PLLC. Over time she has built a practice connected to estate planning and elder law concerns. Her professional path includes both courtroom experience and office-based client work.
Edwards pursued further training through an elder law intensive study program at Elder Law College. That coursework informs how she approaches matters involving aging clients, long-term care planning and related legal questions. She also holds current memberships in professional associations tied to her work.
Her practice has been associated with Estate Planning NC, where she maintains an office presence. That affiliation complements the work she does at The Edwards Law Office, PLLC and provides additional resources for clients seeking planning documents or guidance on transitions in later life.
Colleagues describe her as pragmatic in handling cases. She listens for the facts that matter and then lays out practical options. That methodical approach is reflected in how she handles case intake, client meetings and follow-up—steady processes rather than quick fixes.
Edwards continues to practice in North Carolina, handling matters related to estate planning and elder law through The Edwards Law Office, PLLC and Estate Planning NC.
