About Mark L.
Mark L. Deniz is a California-licensed attorney who built a career in public prosecution before moving into private practice. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Northern Arizona University in 1995 and later received his Juris Doctor from John F. Kennedy University. Those formative years established a foundation in courtroom procedure and criminal law.
He became a member of the State Bar of California in 2004 and began his career in public service that same year. His early prosecutorial work included serving as a Deputy District Lawyer for Tulare County, a role that placed him in county courtrooms handling a range of criminal matters. In 2009 he served as a Deputy City Lawyer for the City of San Diego, where his responsibilities continued to center on litigation and municipal legal issues.
After several years in government roles, Deniz transitioned to private practice. He founded The Law Offices of Mark Deniz APLC and serves as its owner. Deniz has pursued specialized training relevant to impaired-driving cases. He holds a certification in standardized field sobriety test administration under the LaPier curriculum, aligned with guidance from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. He has been a member of the State Bar of California since 2004.
