About Mark Garnet

Mark Garnet Davis earned his law degree from The George Washington University Law School, completing his J.D. in 2005 after beginning studies in 2002. He moved quickly into practice in the mid-2000s and has spent his career working in the courts of New Jersey and Pennsylvania. His classroom years at GW gave him a foundation in trial advocacy and legal research, and those skills have shaped the work he does now.

Early in his career Davis focused on criminal litigation. He gained courtroom experience on a steady stream of cases and built a trial practice across municipal and state courts. Over time he took on more serious felony matters and complex criminal proceedings, learning the rhythms of jury trials and the negotiations that often resolve cases before they reach trial. He has handled arraignments, pretrial motions, sentencing hearings and jury trials, and he is familiar with the procedural demands of criminal practice in both states where he is admitted.

Davis earned certification as a Certified Criminal Trial Lawyer from the New Jersey Supreme Court. That credential reflects a prescribed level of trial experience and peer review under New Jersey’s certification procedures. It also means he has met particular standards for handling serious criminal cases in that state.

His practice blends courtroom work with client counseling. He represents individuals charged with a range of offenses, from misdemeanors to serious felonies. He prepares motions, conducts evidentiary hearings and advises clients on plea options and collateral consequences. He also works on post-conviction issues and prepares appellate filings when matters move beyond the trial court. In both New Jersey and Pennsylvania he is well-versed in local rules and the timing that governs criminal defense work.

Davis now leads Davis Law Office, LLC. He runs a small office that handles criminal cases across county and municipal levels. The firm manages trial dockets, coordinates investigation and expert evidence when needed, and handles negotiations with prosecutors. He combines in-court representation with a hands-on approach to case preparation.

He remains active in courtroom practice and continues to take cases that require trial advocacy. His current practice centers on criminal defense work in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
