About Mark Everett

Mark Everett Chatow earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 1993. He completed his academic legal training at a time when the profession was adapting to new procedures and technologies. The law school years gave him the foundation he relied on as he moved into practice in California.

After graduating, Chatow built a steady presence in California’s legal community. He is licensed to practice in the state and has maintained that connection throughout his career. Over time he has handled a range of matters that arise in state courts and in private practice, drawing on courtroom experience as well as counseling and transactional work.

Professionally, he has stayed engaged with organized legal life. He has been active in professional associations since 2009, participating in meetings, continuing education and networking that keep him current on shifting law and procedure. Those activities have informed his approach to client service and case management.

Chatow’s practice is based at Chatow Law. There he manages client relationships and oversees the delivery of legal services. His day-to-day work includes interviewing clients, preparing filings, negotiating on behalf of clients, and appearing in court when matters require it. Colleagues describe him as steady and pragmatic, favoring clear analysis and careful preparation over dramatic courtroom gestures.

His legal experience spans transactional and litigation tasks. He has worked on matters that require attention to statutory detail and others that turn on persuasive presentation. That variety has shaped a practical skill set: drafting pleadings and agreements, conducting discovery, and preparing witnesses. He applies a measured approach when assessing risk and advising clients on the likely course of a dispute or negotiation.

Outside the courtroom, Chatow keeps up with continuing legal education and the changes in California law that affect his clients. He maintains an office in California and continues to serve individuals and organizations that require counsel under state law. As of 2026, his practice at Chatow Law centers on providing legal counsel to clients in California.
