About Mark C.
Mark C. Rossi earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 2002 after completing a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Southern California in 1997. He entered the Massachusetts legal community in the early 2000s, combining courtroom work and clerking experience as he built a practice grounded in insolvency and debtor-creditor law.
Rossi began his legal career as a senior law clerk at Bonner, Kiernan, Trebach & Crociata in 2003. He moved into firm practice a few years later, joining Altman Riley Esher LLP as an associate in 2005 and then Jager Smith PC in 2007. In 2008 he became a partner at Esher Rossi LLC. By 2014 he had taken on a management role as managing partner at Bostonian Legal Group. Those moves chart a steady progression from clerkship through associate work to firm leadership.
Outside the office Rossi has taken on teaching and volunteer work. He served as an adjunct professor at New England Law in 2009, lecturing to law students on topics related to bankruptcy practice. He also participates in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Massachusetts Volunteer Lawyers Project, providing pro bono assistance to debtors and others who need counsel in bankruptcy proceedings.
He is active in several bar and professional organizations. He is a member of the Boston Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association. He also belongs to the American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyer. Those affiliations reflect a practice that engages both local courts and national conversations about consumer and business insolvency.
Rossi’s work over two decades has involved a mix of consumer and commercial bankruptcy matters, creditor-debtor disputes, and related litigation. He has handled cases that require negotiating with creditors, preparing filings under the Bankruptcy Code, and representing clients in contested hearings. His background includes both transactional and contested work, and he has carried responsibilities that range from case strategy to firm administration.
Today Rossi continues at Bostonian Legal Group, where he has served in a leadership role since 2014. He maintains a practice that concentrates on bankruptcy and insolvency matters, advising individual debtors, small businesses, and creditors on bankruptcy options and related disputes.
