Mark B. Wilson is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1988. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Wilson is a partner at Klein & Wilson LLP, a law firm located in Newport Beach, California. He has been practicing law for over thirty-seven years, serving clients throughout California.
Mr. Wilson earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, California, where he graduated in 1988. During his time at Loyola, he was a member of the Scott Moot Court Honors Board from 1987 to 1988 and received the Jurisprudence Book Award in Legal Research and Writing in 1986. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of Southern California, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration in 1985.
Mr. Wilson concentrates his practice in the areas of business litigation, legal malpractice, and commercial litigation. He represents clients in federal and state courts in matters involving real estate disputes, trade secrets, unfair competition, copyright infringement, construction disputes, and commercial unlawful detainer actions. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings.
Throughout his career, Mr. Wilson has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Orange, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. He has also appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to joining Klein & Wilson LLP, he served as Deputy Trial Counsel for the State Bar of California in 2016.
Mr. Wilson is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, where he served on the Board of Governors from 2017 to 2023. He is also a member of the Orange County Trial Lawyers Association, having served on its Board of Directors from 2002 to 2008. Additionally, he is a Master Bencher at the Banyard Inn of Court since 2000 and has been a member of the Orange County Bar Association since 1994. He served as Chair of the Business Litigation Section of the Orange County Bar Association in 2016. Mr. Wilson is a certified specialist in Legal Malpractice Law by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization, a designation he has held since 2018.
