About Marjorie

Marjorie Brown is the founding attorney and current partner of Elder Law & Estate Planning Solutions of the Piedmont in Concord, North Carolina. She is the only attorney in Cabarrus County certified as a Specialist in Elder Law by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Specialization. Additionally, she holds certification as an Elder Law Attorney (CELA) from the National Elder Law Foundation. Her practice focuses on estate planning, elder law, and estate administration, serving clients throughout North Carolina.

A 1994 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law, Marjorie began her legal career in nonprofit law, mental health practitioners' law, and as in-house counsel for a nonprofit trade association. She later transitioned to elder law, where she has developed extensive expertise in estate planning and administration, special needs planning, and adult guardianships. Her firm, located at 845 Church St N, Suite 207, Concord, NC 28025, offers comprehensive services in these areas. Marjorie is deeply involved in professional and community organizations.

She serves as the Chair of the Cabarrus County Task Force for the Prevention of Elder Abuse and is a Board Member Treasurer for both the North Carolina Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the North Carolina Guardianship Association. Her professional affiliations also include the North Carolina State Bar, Cabarrus County Bar Association, National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the American Bar Association. She has been recognized by the North Carolina Pro Bono Honor Society in 2017 and 2019. In her community, Marjorie has been a Girl Scout Leader since 2003 and served on the Cabarrus County Schools Budget Committee from 2013 to 2019.

She is also a member of the Cabarrus County Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Atrium Health Cabarrus Advisory Board and Ethics Committee. Her commitment to elder care and community service shows her dedication to improving the lives of those she serves. Marjorie is married with two children, which gives her a personal understanding of the importance of preparing for the future through thoughtful estate planning. Her approach combines professional expertise with a compassionate understanding of her clients' needs, ensuring that families achieve peace of mind and security for the future.
