About Maria G.
Maria G. Antoniolli built a legal foundation in Illinois. She earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2008 and received her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School in 2012, where she completed certificates in Trial Advocacy and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Her early years in the law were spent in public service. In 2011 she worked as a law clerk in the Cook County State's Lawyer's Office. The following year she joined DuPage County as an assistant state's lawyer, handling matters that brought daily courtroom experience and case preparation under tight deadlines.
After several years in the public sector she moved into private practice. In 2018 she became an associate at Mullen Winthers & Cerny P.C. That role led to an associate position at McSwain Nagle Giese & Rapp, P.C. in 2020. In 2023 she became a partner at Antoniolli, Cerny & Winthers, P.C., joining the firm’s leadership and taking on greater responsibility for case strategy and client oversight.
Her credentials include a certification as a Guardian ad Litem from the DuPage County Bar Association and the law school certificates in trial advocacy and alternative dispute resolution. Those qualifications reflect both courtroom experience and training in negotiated solutions, and they inform how she approaches client matters.
Antoniolli has taken on leadership roles in local legal organizations. She is Third Vice President of the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers and Second Vice President of the DuPage County chapter of the Justinian Society of Lawyers. She is also a member of the DuPage County Bar Association. In those positions she has worked on programming, member outreach, and community-focused efforts that aim to engage lawyers across practice areas.
Colleagues describe her as steady in court and methodical in preparation. She moved through roles that increased in responsibility, and her background spans public prosecution and private litigation. That blend has shaped the practical side of her work: trial preparation, client counseling, and case resolution through both adjudication and alternative processes.
She is currently a partner at Antoniolli, Cerny & Winthers, P.C., where she focuses her practice on trial advocacy, alternative dispute resolution, and guardian ad litem matters.
