About Margo

Margo Pillischer studied liberal arts at Tulane University before turning to law. She earned a B.A. from Tulane in 2009 and continued her education at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she received her J.D. in 2014. Those academic milestones laid the groundwork for a practice that crosses two state lines.

After law school, Pillischer moved into private practice. She joined Oresky & Associates, pllc, where she has worked on matters arising in both New York and New Jersey. Her professional life has centered on serving clients through the often complex procedural and substantive issues that arise under state law. She is admitted to practice in New York and in New Jersey, and she handles cases that require attention to the rules and court systems of both jurisdictions.

Colleagues describe Pillischer as steady and practical in the office. She approaches problems by breaking them into manageable parts and focusing on the most concrete steps available. In written work she aims for clarity. In oral settings she favors a direct style. That approach helps when briefing judges or guiding clients through hearings and negotiations.

Her work at Oresky & Associates has included both courtroom appearances and behind-the-scenes preparation. She has handled drafting, research, and client counseling as part of litigated matters. In the conference room she prepares clients for what to expect in discovery and hearings. In the office she develops written materials designed to lay out the factual and legal landscape in plain terms.

Pillischer’s academic background informs her legal practice. Cardozo’s classroom experience and Tulane’s undergraduate training contribute to the analytical habits she brings to client matters. She keeps current on developments in state law that affect her cases and adjusts her strategies as new rulings or procedural changes emerge.

Outside the office, she remains tied to the two-state region where she practices. That local grounding helps when cases turn on subtleties of state procedure or local practice. She practices at Oresky & Associates, pllc, handling matters in New York and New Jersey.
