Margaret Ratner Kunstler is a civil rights attorney based in Brooklyn, New York — She has been practicing law since 1970, focusing on civil rights and entertainment & sports law. She earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School and her B.A.

from Sarah Lawrence College. Kunstler is the founder of the William Moses Kunstler Fund for Racial Justice, established to combat racism in the criminal justice system. The fund played a significant role in reforming New York State’s Rockefeller Drug Laws, aiding hundreds of nonviolent first-time drug offenders in securing their release from prison.
