About Marc Howard
Marc Howard Weissman trained first as an accountant before turning to law. He earned a B.A. in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany in 1992 and followed that with an M.S. in taxation a year later. After several years of practice as a certified public accountant, he completed a J.D. at Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 1999.
He began his professional career at Anchin, Block & Anchin LLP as a CPA in 1993 and moved to Prager and Fenton in 1995. Those early roles placed him squarely in tax and financial work. In 1999 he joined Cobert Haber & Haber LLP and became a partner there. His background bridges the technical demands of accounting and the procedural demands of legal practice.
Weissman is admitted to practice in New York and maintains his CPA credential through membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. His combined credentials inform how he approaches matters that require both tax law and accountancy insight. He handles tax planning, dispute resolution related to tax and financial issues, and corporate advisory work where accounting questions intersect with legal obligations.
In professional circles he holds membership in the Nassau County Bar Association and the AICPA. Those affiliations reflect concurrent engagement in legal and accounting communities. His practice at Cobert Haber & Haber LLP continues to emphasize work that draws on both disciplines. He manages client matters that involve tax analysis, business transactions, and regulatory compliance. His current practice focuses on tax and corporate matters in New York.
