About Marc
Marc Homme earned his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1969. He continued his legal studies at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles and received his J.D. in 1971. Those credentials set the stage for a long career that began in the early 1970s and stretched into the present day.
He became involved in the California legal community soon after law school and is recorded as joining the California State Bar Association in 1974. In 1978 he took on a formal leadership role in private practice and has served as principal of Marc S. Homme, APLC since that year. Over time he has combined courtroom work, transactional matters and organizational leadership in ways that reflect a steady practice rather than quick public attention.
Homme has held a range of positions outside the office. He is a former director of the Desert Contractors Association and has served as a contributing editor on construction law for the Public Record. He also belonged to the Inns of Court, and he has been a member of the Desert Bar Association since 1978, a membership that continues today. Those roles indicate regular engagement with both the construction industry and the local bar community.
His admissions include the state of California, and he holds credentials allowing practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Interstate Commerce Commission. That combination of state and federal admissions has supported a practice that touches regulatory issues as well as construction and business disputes. Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prefers steady work over publicity and who brings an old-school approach to file management and client contact.
Across decades of practice, Homme has mixed private representation with contributions to industry and legal publications. He remains based in private practice and handles matters that arise out of construction projects, contract issues and related business concerns. His current practice centers on construction and business matters.
