About Marc

Marc Gugliuzza built a steady bridge from business studies to the courtroom. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997, then returned to the Chicago area to complete an MBA at DeVry University-Chicago in 2001. He finished his legal training at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2005.

Those three degrees shape how he approaches problems. The undergraduate years provided a liberal-arts foundation. The MBA exposed him to business planning and finance. The law degree added the tools for advocacy and analysis. Taken together, they inform practical counsel and case management rather than abstract theory.

Gugliuzza is admitted to practice in both Hawaii and Illinois. He formed his own practice and has worked under the name Law Offices of Marc L. Gugliuzza, P.C., and subsequently Gugliuzza Law, P.C. He has managed the responsibilities that come with running a small firm: client intake, case strategy, court appearances and the administrative side of practice. He has worked to keep a manageable caseload and to provide steady attention to clients’ matters.

Colleagues and clients note that his background in business often shows up in how he frames legal issues. He tends to break complex matters into achievable steps. He writes plainly in pleadings and correspondence. He prepares methodically for hearings and trials. He practices in the courts and administrative forums available in the jurisdictions where he is licensed. He also handles the transactional and advisory work that clients bring to a solo or small-firm lawyer.

Outside the office, he has maintained ties to the Chicago and broader legal communities where he trained, while also maintaining his license in Hawaii. That geographic split requires attention to differing local rules and practice cultures. He adapts his approach to the demands of each forum rather than applying a single template everywhere.

Today he practices through Gugliuzza Law, P.C., where he represents clients in legal matters across Hawaii and Illinois.
