About Maj

Maj Vasigh built a path to law that began in classrooms known for engines and aerodynamics, then moved to a courtroom. He earned a B.S. from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2004 and completed his J.D. at the University of Florida in 2007. That combination — technical undergraduate training and a law degree from a major public university — frames the analytical approach he brings to litigation.

After law school, Vasigh entered practice and established a trial practice that spans state and federal matters. He serves as both trial lawyer and president of his firm, Maj Vasigh, PA. In that role he handles litigation from initial charge through trial and appeals. He appears in Florida courts and has admission to practice in the Federal Circuit, allowing him to carry cases beyond state systems when federal issues are at stake.

Vasigh’s work covers criminal defense and immigration matters, among other areas. He is a member of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and participates on the legal committee of NORML, where issues around cannabis law intersect with criminal practice. His American Immigration Lawyers Association membership reflects experience in immigration-related litigation and administrative proceedings. The combination of criminal and immigration work often requires coordination across systems, and his practice regularly addresses those overlaps for clients.

Professional involvement extends beyond client work. Vasigh maintains membership in the Florida Bar and serves in a leadership role locally as Committee Co-Chair of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. Those roles place him in regular contact with colleagues across disciplines. They also inform his courtroom work by keeping him abreast of procedural developments and local practice norms.

Colleagues and clients describe Vasigh as someone who prepares cases for trial and steps into the courtroom to present them. He handles evidentiary hearings, jury trials, and federal filings, and he manages the administrative tasks of running a small firm. The office environment blends casework, client counseling, and litigation strategy. He currently centers his practice on criminal defense, immigration, and federal litigation.
