About M. Shane
M. Shane Henry graduated from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2007. He built his practice in Oklahoma and has been active in state and federal bar circles for more than a decade. His legal training at Tulsa provided the foundation for a career that has combined courtroom work and bar leadership.
Early in his professional life he joined both the American Bar Association Family Law Section and the Oklahoma Bar Association in 2010. He later became a member of the Tulsa County and Creek County bar associations in 2013. In 2014 he gained admission to the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of Oklahoma.
His peers tapped him for leadership in 2014 when he served as Chair of the Oklahoma Bar Association Family Law Section. That same year he helped establish the OBA Family Law Section Trial Advocacy Institute and taught at the program. Those roles put him in regular contact with judges, fellow practitioners and newer lawyers looking to develop trial skills in family law matters.
Colleagues describe his involvement in bar activities as steady. He has maintained membership in the Oklahoma Association for Justice since 2014 and remained active in the OBA and ABA family law circles. He has worked across county and federal forums and kept an educator’s interest in trial procedure and courtroom practice.
Henry practices at Henry + Dow, where he has continued the combination of litigation and client representation that marked his bar service. He has handled contested matters in family court and taken part in trials in district court. His background in trial advocacy informs how he prepares cases and trains younger attorneys who come to the firm.
He keeps a visible role in local legal organizations while handling courtroom work for clients. He has balanced bar leadership, teaching and active practice across multiple Oklahoma venues. He is currently practicing family law and conducting trial work on family-related cases.
