Luke Ellis is a seasoned personal injury attorney based in San Francisco, California — He has been practicing law since 1976, specializing in personal injury and product liability cases. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, and his Bachelor of Arts from Antioch College in Ohio. He is admitted to practice in California and has an active license with the State Bar of California. Throughout his career, Mr. Ellis has secured significant verdicts and settlements for his clients. Notably, he achieved one of the largest personal injury jury trial verdicts in Alameda County and the largest wrongful death jury verdict in Contra Costa County.
In 2009, he obtained one of the top 100 verdicts nationally, and in 2011, one of the top 15 personal injury verdicts in California. In 2013, he secured the largest recovery for an individual against a bus company in California history, along with the top motor vehicle settlement in the state. Mr. Ellis has been recognized by his peers for his legal expertise and contributions to the field. He has lectured extensively on trial practice and chaired numerous educational seminars in various litigation fields. He served as a consultant to the California Continuing Education of the Bar for California Trial Objections and co-authored "Government Tort Liability Practice," published by the California Continuing Education of the Bar. He also serves as a Court Settlement Commissioner by appointment of the Contra Costa and Alameda County Superior Courts and has been the long-time coach of Miramonte High School’s championship mock trial team.
