About Louis

Louis Johnson followed an unusual educational path that blends business training and legal study. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Shorter College in 2003, and stayed at Shorter to complete an MBA in 2005. After several years away from the classroom, he returned to law school and received his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law in 2016.

The switch to law came after a period working in business. That background shaped his approach to legal problems. He brings an understanding of financial and organizational dynamics to client matters. Peers describe him as practical and detail-oriented in handling documents, negotiations and client counseling.

Johnson was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2016 and remains an active member. He has practiced in Georgia since admission. His registration and ongoing membership with the state bar signals steady involvement in the state’s legal community over the past decade.

Throughout his career he has balanced transactional work with dispute resolution. He is comfortable drafting agreements, advising on corporate governance, and helping clients understand regulatory obligations. On the litigation side he has managed cases where business records and contract terms are central to the outcome. His dual training in business and law allows him to move between a company’s operational concerns and its legal strategy.

Colleagues say Johnson prefers a practical, problem-solving style. He is inclined to break complex issues into manageable steps. That approach tends to be useful for small and mid-sized companies that need clear legal advice tied to commercial realities. He is also experienced in explaining legal risks in plain language, which clients often find helpful when making strategic decisions.

Outside of day-to-day practice, Johnson has maintained ties to the legal community through the State Bar of Georgia. He has attended continuing education seminars and has kept current on changes in Georgia law that affect businesses and contracts. He speaks often about the need to align legal counsel with an organization’s financial goals and operational constraints.

He currently practices in Georgia, handling matters that sit at the intersection of business and law.
