About Lorenzo Francisco
Lorenzo Francisco Robleto combines a background in criminal justice with legal training in intellectual property. He earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from California State University, San Diego State University, and received his J.D. from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 2014, where his studies included intellectual property law.
Robleto began building legal experience during law school through a series of internships. He worked at the Office of the Lawyer General in 2010 and again in 2012, served as a certified USPTO law clerk in the Internet & Intellectual Property Justice Clinic in 2013, and completed a legal internship at Yahoo that same year. After graduating, he spent time as a judicial intern at the United States District Court for the Northern District of California in 2014.
Soon after law school Robleto moved into privacy and technology roles. In 2015 he served as counsel in a privacy department at Inflection. He joined Herbalife Nutrition in 2018 as Senior Manager, Privacy Counsel, within the company’s global compliance and privacy department. He later became Legal Director and Head of Privacy at DoorDash in 2021, a position that placed him at the intersection of consumer products, technology and data protection.
His work has crossed both corporate and academic settings. In 2022 he returned to the University of San Francisco School of Law as an adjunct professor, teaching students about issues that bridge intellectual property and privacy law. He has maintained professional ties to privacy practitioners through membership in The International Association of Privacy Professionals since 2015.
Colleagues describe his practice as oriented toward practical solutions for business and regulatory questions. He has handled internal privacy programs, compliance reviews and policy drafting, and advised on intellectual property issues that affect product development. He also brings courtroom exposure from his time as a judicial intern and a background in public-sector legal work from earlier internships.
Robleto is admitted to practice in California. His trajectory moves from classroom to court to corporate legal teams, reflecting steady advancement in privacy and technology-related law. He currently serves as Legal Director and Head of Privacy at DoorDash, focusing on the company’s privacy and compliance matters.
