About Lorenza G.
Lorenza G. Cigarroa earned a B.A. in sociology from Southwestern University in 2013 and completed her J.D. at The University of Texas School of Law in 2017. Her academic path combined social science and law, giving her a broad view of how systems affect individuals and businesses. She left law school prepared for both courtroom practice and transactional work.
Her early legal experiences were varied and hands-on. In 2015 she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Guillermo R. Garcia of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas and worked as a law clerk at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid. Those positions exposed her to federal procedure and to client-centered public interest practice. She spent the summer of 2016 as a summer associate at Hornberger Fuller & Garza Incorporated, gaining further exposure to private-practice workflows.
On graduation she joined Clark Hill Strasburger (then Strasburger & Price) as an attorney in 2017. That role marked her entry into firm practice. In 2019 she took on the role of general counsel at Cigarroa Dispatch Co., where she handled in-house legal responsibilities for a company operating in the transportation and logistics space. She returned to firm practice in 2020 and has been associated with The Law Offices of Kyle Robbins, PLLC since then.
Her career crosses several legal settings: federal court, legal aid, corporate counsel and private law firms. That variety means she has handled litigation matters, client counseling, and transactional issues at different stages and on different scales. The movement between public interest work and corporate practice informs how she approaches research, client communication and case management.
Cigarroa also holds a federal credential: she is a U.S. Customs House Broker, ID 30194, issued by U.S. Customs and Border Protection. That certification permits participation in customs brokerage and is a practical credential for clients with import, trade or logistics needs. It complements her experience as in-house counsel for a dispatch company and her private-practice work.
Colleagues describe her career as steady and practical. She has combined courtroom exposure, nonprofit advocacy and corporate legal duties into a single practice profile. In recent years she has handled matters that draw on that mix of experience, advising clients and representing them in disputes when needed. She currently practices at The Law Offices of Kyle Robbins, PLLC, where she handles matters that draw on her in-house, private-practice and public-interest experience.
