About Lorenz
Lorenz Schuerch arrived at law after an early interest in how people think and decide. That interest led him to Brigham Young University-Idaho, where he completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2011. He followed that with a law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School, earning his J.D. in 2015.
Schuerch’s path from psychology to law is straightforward in one sense and layered in another. Psychology taught him to listen for what clients and witnesses mean, not just what they say. Law trained him to translate those observations into documents, filings and courtroom presentations. The combination shapes how he approaches client work and case assessment.
After finishing law school, Schuerch entered private practice. Over time he moved into a role at Mountain Legal, PLLC, where he practices today. He also maintains membership in a professional association, a detail that signals ongoing engagement with peers and the broader legal community. He has built a practice style that emphasizes clear explanations and careful preparation.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and practical. He places a premium on preparation and on managing expectations. Clients tend to get direct answers and step-by-step plans rather than optimistic promises. That approach reflects his training: the analyst’s attention to detail and the lawyer’s need to anticipate procedural steps and deadlines.
Outside the office, Schuerch’s background in psychology informs how he manages client interactions. It affects intake interviews, negotiations and settlement discussions. He aims to make complex legal points accessible so clients can make informed decisions. He also keeps up with continuing education and professional development through his association membership and other opportunities.
Mountain Legal, PLLC serves as the base for Schuerch’s day-to-day practice. There he handles client matters, prepares filings and provides counsel. He organizes work around clarity, timely communication and practical problem solving. He concentrates his practice at Mountain Legal, PLLC providing legal counsel to clients.
