About Lisa

Lisa Kenn trained in Portland and returned there to build her practice. She earned her Juris Doctor from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2014 after beginning law studies in 2010. The law school years included practical courtroom exposure and volunteer work that shaped her early approach to client service.

Her first public-sector legal role came in 2013 at the Clark County (Washington) Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, where she worked on misdemeanor prosecution. That work put her in court frequently and gave her experience handling fast-moving dockets and case preparation under time pressure. Earlier volunteer work as a mediator in Multnomah County’s small claims and landlord-tenant courts in 2004 showed an early interest in dispute resolution and practical problem solving.

After law school she moved into private practice. She launched the Law Office of Lisa Kenn in 2015 as a sole practitioner. The next year she joined Kramer & Associates as an associate lawyer, adding firm-based litigation experience to her solo practice background. Those roles offered contrasting perspectives: running a solo practice required client intake, file management and independent case strategy, while the associate position involved collaboration on larger files and working within an established firm structure.

Her caseload has included family law matters and trial work. She is a member of the Oregon State Bar Family Law Section and the Oregon Academy of Family Law Practitioners, and those memberships reflect a steady engagement with family law practice and continuing legal education. She is also involved in broader bar and trial organizations, holding memberships in the Multnomah County Bar Association, Oregon Trial Lawyers, the Oregon State Bar Solo & Small Firm Section and Oregon Women Lawyers since the mid-2010s.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in court and concise in negotiation. Her background ranges from misdemeanor prosecution to mediation and private litigation, and she has experience managing both contested hearings and negotiated resolutions. Time spent in different roles gives her familiarity with courtroom procedures and alternative dispute processes.

Outside the courtroom she has maintained ties to local legal groups and continuing education programs. Those activities have kept her engaged in developments affecting family and civil practice in Oregon. She remains active in the Oregon legal community and continues to handle cases in state courts.

As of 2026 she continues to practice law in Oregon, handling family law and related civil matters and providing courtroom and mediation services to her clients.
