About Lindsay Choat
Lindsay Choat Ronilo took a traditional path into law but has shaped it on her own terms. She completed undergraduate studies at the University of North Alabama in 2002, earning degrees in political science and business administration. She then attended Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University, receiving her J.D. in 2010.
Those academic years gave her a foundation in both the mechanics of government and the practical demands of business. She translated that foundation into early courtroom and office experience. In 2010 she served as a law clerk in the Office of the Lawyer General for the State of Alabama. The same year she moved into private practice at The Law Offices of Vickers & White, PLLC, taking on responsibilities as a lawyer and learning the rhythms of client work.
Her career continued to move forward in the mid-2010s. By 2016 she was a senior associate at The Rose Law Office, LLC, a role that expanded the range of matters she handled and the complexity of files she managed. The months and years in those positions shaped her litigation skills and client-facing approach. Colleagues from that period recall her steady presence during busy dockets and transitional firm work.
In 2022 Ronilo launched Ronilo Law, LLC. The move to establish her own firm marked another shift—one toward managing both client matters and the business side of a law practice. As owner, she oversees case strategy, client intake, and the administrative functions that keep a small firm operating. Her membership in the Birmingham Bar Association, active since 2016, keeps her connected to the local legal community and continuing education opportunities.
Her practice reflects the arc of her career. Early public-sector work gave her insight into government procedures. Years in private firms exposed her to litigation and transactional matters. Those experiences inform how she evaluates cases and counsels clients today. She is known for methodical preparation and steady courtroom presence rather than theatrical gestures.
Outside of casework, Ronilo balances the operational demands of running a small firm with developing professional relationships across Alabama. She maintains an active role in the Birmingham Bar Association and participates in events and meetings that address local practice issues.
She now leads Ronilo Law, LLC, serving clients in Alabama and handling a range of matters in state courts as part of her current practice focus.
