About Lindsay

Lindsay Barrett entered the legal profession after completing her law degree at the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2018. She graduated during a period of shifting legal markets and joined the bar in Oklahoma soon after. The academic years at Tulsa exposed her to courtroom procedure and federal practice, and she carried those skills into her early work.

Her career has been built around courtroom appearances in Oklahoma. She is admitted to practice in the state of Oklahoma and before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma. Those admissions have shaped the practical side of her work. She routinely prepares filings for federal dockets and manages state-court matters when facts or strategy call for it.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in court preparation. She approaches motions and pleadings with attention to detail. In hearings she keeps arguments focused and grounded in the record. That approach aligns with the litigation-oriented admissions she maintains across multiple federal districts in the state.

Bar membership and federal admissions have defined much of her docket. She handles tasks that range from drafting dispositive motions to coordinating discovery across state and federal court lines. Her role requires coordinating schedules, conferring with experts where necessary, and keeping clients apprised of developments. She also briefs issues of procedure and jurisdiction when cases cross court boundaries.

At Foshee & Yaffe she serves as an associate lawyer. The position has her working alongside more senior litigators on contested matters. Firm responsibilities include client interviews, legal research, drafting substantive briefs and representing clients in hearings. Her day-to-day balances client-facing work with behind-the-scenes case management.

Outside the courthouse she maintains continuing legal education and keeps current on federal and Oklahoma civil procedure. She seeks practical solutions that fit a client’s situation. The combination of federal admissions and state licensure allows her to move between forums as cases require.

Her current practice focuses on federal and state litigation in Oklahoma.
