About Katherine R.
Katherine R. Mazaheri built a legal foundation that began in Oklahoma. She earned a B.A. in International Area Studies from the University of Oklahoma in 1999 and continued her legal studies at Oklahoma City University, receiving her J.D. in 2004.
Early in her career she worked as a law clerk in 2006, first with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company's in-house legal team and also with the DC Employment Justice Center. Those roles gave her exposure to both corporate defense and employment-oriented litigation. In 2009 she established Mazaheri Law Office, PLLC and took on the role of managing lawyer. The following year she worked as a contract lawyer for MidFirst Bank, adding transactional and lender-side experience to her resume.
She is admitted to practice in Oklahoma and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Over the years she has maintained memberships in several federal and state court associations, including the Western, Northern and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma and the U.S. Court of Appeals. She joined the Oklahoma Bar Association in 2007 and holds membership in the National Employment Lawyers Association since 2011.
Her community involvement runs alongside her legal work. She has served as a volunteer for Oklahoma Lawyers for Heroes and Oklahoma Lawyers for Children. She has also been active locally as an ambassador for the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and has served on the OCU Law alumni board. In 2020 she joined the board of directors for the Oklahoma County Bar Association, serving through 2023, and she currently sits on the board of trustees for the YWCA of Oklahoma City.
Mazaheri also carries an Oklahoma real estate license issued by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission. That credential broadens the practical and transactional aspects of her practice and informs work that touches property and real estate issues.
Colleagues and clients encounter an attorney with a mix of litigation and transactional background, courtroom familiarity at multiple levels, and an ongoing presence in civic and professional organizations. She runs her practice from Mazaheri Law Office, PLLC and draws on experience gathered from both in-house and private-practice positions. Her current practice is based at Mazaheri Law Office, PLLC, representing clients in Oklahoma and before the Tenth Circuit.
