About Lewis
Lewis Warr earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Citadel in 2016 and a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2020. His academic path combined a military-style undergraduate institution and a regional law school. The mix shaped a straightforward approach to practice and an interest in courtroom work.
After law school, Warr moved into private practice and eventually co-founded Young & Warr, LLC. He serves as a lawyer and founder at the firm, handling matters in state and federal forums. Warr is admitted to practice in both South Carolina and North Carolina, and he is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina.
Warr’s professional affiliations reflect a blend of criminal defense and civil-justice interests. He has maintained active memberships with the North Carolina State Bar and the South Carolina Bar. Since 2021 he has been involved with the American Association of Premier DUI Lawyers, serving as a state ambassador. He also joined the South Carolina Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, and the Sumter County Bar Association in 2021. Those memberships place him in both statewide and local legal communities.
Colleagues and clients describe Warr as direct and pragmatic. He appears in hearings and trial settings for clients across the two Carolinas. The firm’s work includes representation in traffic and driving-related matters; his role in the American Association of Premier DUI Lawyers signals regular work in DUI-related defense. He also handles civil matters that bring individuals into court to seek redress or defend rights, and he has taken cases into federal court when jurisdiction requires it.
Warr runs the day-to-day practice at Young & Warr, LLC, based on a model that merges litigation work with local client service. The firm maintains an office presence to meet clients in person and to appear in county courts and state courts across the region. Warr balances courtroom appearances with case preparation and client counseling. He currently practices in South Carolina and North Carolina, representing clients in DUI-related criminal defense and in civil-justice matters.
