About Leonard
Leonard Weitzman earned his Juris Doctor from Villanova School of Law in 1983. He completed his legal education at a time when the practice was changing rapidly. The year of his graduation places him among a generation of lawyers whose careers have spanned shifts in courtroom procedure, technology and client expectations.
After law school, Weitzman began a long career in the practice of law. Early on he moved between courtroom work and transactional matters. He developed practical habits: clear writing, careful fact-gathering and steady attention to deadlines. Those habits shaped the way he approached cases and advice for many years.
Across more than four decades in the field, Weitzman has worked on a variety of matters. He has taken on litigation in state and federal forums and has negotiated agreements outside of court. His files have included contested disputes and negotiated settlements. He has also spent time counseling clients on legal risks and the day-to-day decisions that precede litigation.
Weitzman’s professional life reflects a steady practice rather than headline-grabbing litigation or academic output. He has remained engaged in the routine demands of client work: preparing pleadings, drafting contracts, managing discovery and advising on regulatory concerns. Colleagues and clients have described his approach as methodical. He tends to favor practical solutions over theoretical ones and looks for ways to resolve issues efficiently.
Throughout his career he has kept current with changes in the law. He has participated in continuing legal education and adapted his practice as procedures and technologies evolved. That adaptability helped him manage transitions in case management systems and to integrate changing evidentiary rules into everyday practice.
In recent years Weitzman has continued to accept matters that require careful fact review and measured legal strategy. He remains available to represent individuals and businesses and to provide counsel on disputes, contracts and planning. He currently practices law handling civil and commercial matters, transactional work and client counseling.
