Lawrence P. Maya earned both his undergraduate and law degrees at Loyola University Chicago. He completed a Bachelor of Arts before returning to Loyola University Chicago School of Law for his Juris Doctor. Those formative years in Chicago shaped his entry into the legal profession and anchored his ties to Illinois courts.
He began his legal career in 1999 as an associate at Sandman, Levy & Petrich. There he handled client matters that introduced him to courtroom practice and procedural work. The early months and years at that firm provided exposure to litigation and firm operations, and they set the stage for his move into partnership.
In 2002 he joined Stone & Maya, P.C. as a partner. That role has defined the middle and later portions of his career.
