About Lawrence J.

Lawrence J. Weinstein studied history before he studied law. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in History, with a minor in Middle East History, from Pennsylvania State University in 1996. He stayed in the region for his legal education and received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 1999.

After law school he established a practice that crosses both state and federal lines. He is admitted to the bar in Pennsylvania and holds admissions to the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He also maintains membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar, a connection that keeps him plugged into local rules and professional developments.

Weinstein’s work involves courtroom appearances and filings at multiple levels. He handles matters in Pennsylvania courts and brings cases before federal trial and appellate tribunals when the legal issues call for it. That combination requires attention to procedural detail and an ability to shift between different sets of rules and timelines. He has experience preparing briefs for appellate review and presenting arguments in district court proceedings.

Colleagues say his training in history informs how he frames legal narratives. He places facts in context and traces how events unfolded before constructing legal arguments. That background also helps when dealing with complex records and timelines. In courtrooms, he leans on clear organization and a steady presentation of evidence.

Outside of litigation, Weinstein engages with the professional community through bar activities and stays current on developments that affect practice in Pennsylvania. His admissions to the Third Circuit and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania allow him to follow evolving precedent at both the trial and appellate levels. He uses those admissions to pursue remedies for clients that require federal jurisdiction, including matters that hinge on federal statutes or constitutional questions.

He currently practices in Pennsylvania, appearing in state courts and in federal forums such as the Eastern District and the Third Circuit. His current practice focuses on litigation in Pennsylvania and in the federal courts where he is admitted.
