About Laurie
Laurie Percio has practiced law in Missouri since completing her legal education at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1996 and a Juris Doctor in 1999. Those years in Kansas City shaped her understanding of the region’s courts and legal culture.
Her education was followed by a career that led her to Horn Law, where she serves as a lawyer. At Horn Law she works alongside trial attorneys handling matters that arise in state courts. Her work involves preparing cases for litigation, managing discovery, and advocating in hearings and trials when disputes move beyond settlement talks.
Percio’s professional life is threaded through local and national legal organizations. She maintains memberships in the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Missouri Trial Lawyers Association and the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association. Those affiliations reflect an engagement with civil trial practice and with colleagues who litigate on behalf of individuals and businesses.
Colleagues describe her as steady in the courtroom and thorough in case preparation. She participates in bar activities and continuing legal education programs offered by the associations she belongs to. That participation keeps her current on procedural developments and trial strategies relevant to Missouri practice.
Her practice is based in Missouri, and she conducts work out of several Horn Law offices, including the main office, a St. Louis location, a KC Northland office, an office at Two Pershing Square, and an Overland Park office. She handles matters that require attention across the state and sometimes involves coordination with local counsel when cases take her outside her primary jurisdictions.
Percio’s file work and courtroom appearances show a consistent orientation toward litigation and client representation in civil matters. She prepares pleadings, manages depositions, and handles trial logistics. She draws on more than two decades of post-law school experience to guide case strategy, negotiate resolutions and present evidence when cases proceed to trial.
She continues to practice law at Horn Law, representing clients in Missouri civil litigation and related proceedings.
