About Lauren Roderick
Lauren Roderick Brusca built her legal foundation at Florida A&M University College of Law, earning her J.D. in 2010 after completing a master's degree in Conflict Resolution and Analysis at Nova Southeastern University in 2007. Her graduate work in conflict resolution informs how she approaches contested and negotiated matters. She arrived in the profession with both academic training and a practical sense of how disputes settle and how they escalate.
Her early career moved quickly into public service. In 2011 she served as Assistant General Counsel for the State of Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation, a role that gave her exposure to regulatory frameworks and administrative procedures. She left that post to begin private practice in 2012, where she took on a variety of matters that sharpened her courtroom and client-management skills.
By 2014 and 2015 she was working in established family law practices, first at Roberts and Robold P.A. and then at The Roberts Family Law Office, P.A. Those years deepened her experience in domestic relations, strategy for contested hearings, and the negotiation of financial and parenting arrangements. Colleagues from that period recall a lawyer comfortable both in hearings and at the negotiating table.
In 2018 she founded Brusca Law. The firm reflects the trajectory of her career: a mix of litigation experience, administrative practice, and an emphasis on dispute resolution. Running a small firm means she handles case intake, client counseling, court appearances and the business tasks that keep a practice functioning. Her work at Brusca Law shows continuity from public counsel to private practitioner to firm founder.
Brusca has maintained memberships in several professional and community groups. She has been active with the Central Florida Family Law Inn since 2015 and joined the American Bar Association’s Family Law Section in 2009. She is also a member of the Central Florida Association of Women Lawyers and the Junior League of Greater Orlando, both since 2011. These affiliations reflect a professional life engaged with peers and community programs beyond the courtroom.
Her education and career path position her to handle family law matters that require both negotiation and litigation. She combines administrative experience from state government with years spent in family law offices and private practice. She currently practices family law at Brusca Law.
