About Lauren P.
Lauren P. Rubin built her legal foundation at the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a B.A., and at Fordham University School of Law, where she received her J.D. Her academic path combined rigorous writing and analysis, skills that have recurred throughout her professional life.
She entered the legal world as a corporate legal assistant at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in 2002. That early exposure to high-stakes corporate matters gave way to attorney positions at major firms. She joined Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP in 2007 and later served as a law clerk at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York in 2009. In 2010 she worked at Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman LLP, gaining further courtroom and litigation experience.
Rubin spent part of 2013 as a legal consultant, a role that emphasized problem-solving and client communication. The following year she taught legal writing as an adjunct professor at the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, bringing practical drafting disciplines into the classroom. Her teaching stint highlights an ongoing interest in clear, effective legal writing, which informs both her advocacy and counseling.
Her resume includes a mix of firm litigation roles and advisory work. That combination shows through in her subsequent position as an associate at Zeiger, Tigges & Little LLP, where she has continued to handle matters that require both analytical rigor and persuasive written advocacy. She holds active bar memberships in New York, New Jersey and Ohio, which allows her to work on cases spanning multiple jurisdictions.
Colleagues describe Rubin as methodical in preparing briefs and hearings, and attentive to procedural detail in court work. Her clerkship in the Southern District of New York and early years at New York firms provided frequent exposure to federal practice and complex civil litigation. The classroom appointment at Moritz College of Law also points to an ability to translate practice experience into instruction for younger lawyers.
She currently practices at Zeiger, Tigges & Little LLP, focusing on multi-state civil litigation and legal consulting across New York, New Jersey and Ohio.
