About Lauren

Lauren Geraghty earned her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Miami in 2012 and returned to the same campus for law school, receiving her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law in 2016. During her time in law school she engaged in clinic work and court placements that exposed her to both client-facing practice and federal court procedure. Those early experiences shaped her approach to legal work: careful research, direct client contact, and attention to procedural detail.

While still a law student in 2014, she held several short-term positions that provided a cross-section of practical legal training. She served as a clinical fellow at the University of Miami School of Law’s Human Rights Clinic, worked as a legal intern at LOIGICA, P.A., and completed a judicial internship at the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Each role offered different perspectives — the clinic on advocacy for vulnerable clients, the firm internship on day-to-day practice, and the judicial internship on how judges weigh legal arguments and manage dockets.

After completing law school, Geraghty entered private practice. She is listed as a lawyer at Friedman Rodman Frank & Estrada, P.A. There she applies the practical skills she built in law school and early internships to client matters handled by the firm. Her registration with The Florida Bar is current, and she practices under Florida’s jurisdiction.

Colleagues and supervisors have noted that Geraghty’s background provides a blend of courtroom exposure and clinic-driven advocacy. The judicial internship gave her a window into federal court operations and opinion-writing. The human rights clinic involved casework that required careful factual development and legal research. The firm-level internship familiarized her with client counseling and transactional or defensive tasks that often arise in private practice. Together, these experiences form the basis of the legal skill set she brings to client matters.

Outside of formal job titles, Geraghty’s path illustrates a common trajectory for lawyers who combine academic training with hands-on placements while still in law school. She remains a member in good standing of The Florida Bar and continues her work at Friedman Rodman Frank & Estrada, P.A. She currently practices at Friedman Rodman Frank & Estrada, P.A., where she works on matters for clients in Florida.
