About Laureen F.

Laureen F. Bagley entered law school after completing a bachelor’s degree at Delta State College in 1979. She earned her J.D. from Tulane University School of Law in 1986 and moved into private practice soon after. Bagley’s education in the Gulf South set the stage for a career that spans multiple state and federal courts.

Bagley joined Sloan, Bagley, Hatcher & Perry Law Office and built a steady practice there. Colleagues describe her as methodical in court preparation and deliberate in courtroom presentation. Over the years she has taken cases into state and federal forums, relying on courtroom experience rather than a single office-based practice model.

She holds active memberships in the Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas bars. That multi-jurisdictional standing enables her to represent clients across state lines and to appear in a range of courts. In the federal system she is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and to the U.S. District Courts in the Eastern and Western Districts of both Texas and Louisiana. Those admissions reflect a practice that frequently engages federal procedures and pleading standards.

Bagley’s professional affiliations include memberships in organizations that serve trial lawyers and civil justice advocates. She is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. Those associations provide continuing legal education and networking opportunities that she has used to stay current on trial practice and procedural developments.

Her career path shows a steady emphasis on litigation. She spends substantial time preparing for hearings and trials, drafting pleadings and handling courtroom proceedings. Clients and opposing counsel have seen her argue motions and present evidence in multiple federal and state venues. That hands-on litigation work is a throughline in her practice.

Outside of court dockets, Bagley’s work is organized around the needs of clients who require representation before both state and federal tribunals. She balances case preparation with the procedural demands of multi-jurisdictional practice. Her approach is practical and practice-oriented rather than theoretical, shaped by years in active litigation roles.

As of 2026 she remains a lawyer at Sloan, Bagley, Hatcher & Perry Law Office and holds active bar memberships across several jurisdictions. Her current practice centers on litigation in state and federal courts.
